When I told someone at work that Julia went to the RBI Baseball for the NES line for her brother, it was pointed out that I should have tagged along just to get material. Probably could been a whole month worth of stuff there I'm sure. So many regrets. In case you missed the thread all attempts to write the word H...A...L...O... are replaced with the word "RBI Baseball for the NES" in an attempt to thwart Google ads. It was a slow day yesterday. RBI Baseball for the NES!

Funny comic... If my 360 had not exploded the red ring of doom in my damned face, I more than likely would have been in line with Julia for H A L O 3, but I don't need to buy it and have it staring me in the face for the next 6 weeks while Microsoft rapes my XBOX 360.

I bought it on the first day it came out. I didn't wait in line though, I just used my Wal-Mart connections (read: My awesome Grandmother) to save a copy before the store opened. ;D I have to say I love the game. This is everything H a l o 2 should have been. I'm really glad you don't have to play as that stupid Arbiter alien either. 100% Master Chief. You can rip turrets out of the ground and walk around with them, there's a new 'equipment' feature which allows you to deploy shield regenerators, bubble shields, cover, invisibility, etc. The enemy A.I. is incredibly skilled in using this, too. Makes every fight different. The new weapons are great, the new vehicles kick ass (and are actually useful), and I just have to bring up how hard the enemies are again...It blew me away. This is probably the most epic of the series, too. Every battle is HUGE and the visuals are jaw dropping. The first time you have to take down 2 Scarabs (the big giant Covenant AT-AT things) at the same time, you'll know what I'm saying. It's just plain fucking nice to see a game actually live up to it's hype for once.

I threw Halo 3 into my 360, got to the main menu, the music started to play, then it froze up. Rebooted...red ring of death. Tried removing all the cables and hard drive, plugged them back in...red ring of death. Removed the hard drive again, gave the 360 two solid whacks with my hand on the right hand side, did the same on the left...booted right up! I cleared the hard drive cache and things have been just fine since then. I plan on giving it a proper long-term test over the weekend.

I was writing up a big thing for you in the Spider-Man thread, and every time I was mentioning the artist Bachal o, I would end up with that RBI Baseball for NES... Fuck, it was pissing me off... A small price to pay! Mouhahahaha! (seriously though, sorry. It's a temporary thing for the sake of comedy!!)

It was ingenious wasn't it? This is one of those times where Georgio would ask me how many times a day I was pleased with myself. At least a couple so far today! ;D

How many games did you guys play up there? I'm looking forward to our next Moncton game. They played three, but I only played two. The other one was during the Roger O. Cup. I love playing baseball; it's one of the few sports you can drink and still kick ass! No wonder Georgio played.
