In a strange coincidence, I ran across the article about Legend of the Galactic Heroes today, after Georgio showed us about 3 minutes and 27 seconds of it last night.
There's a part of me that thinks it looks awesome, but there's part of me that is scared off by the potential for too many political figures yakkity-yaking endlessly about political figure business (something I dislike in anime about the same level as MOE)
I might give it a shot though if I ever get time to watch 100 episodes of freakily animated 1988 anime. I don't have a super long list of shows on my to-watch list right now.
When I started this thread I had no idea what I was getting into, but yet somehow I found myself watching all 110 episodes of Galactic Heroes in about 18 days. I just punched the last 5 in the face right now. A goddamn classic.
I love when the Rosen Ritter show up because this show goes from "dudes talking about politics" to "dudes wailing on each other with giant space axes 'cause they don't want to fire lasers inside of a spaceship"
Those guys go like Berserk style violent then it'll clip back to Yang Wenli and he's like whisting and trying to fan himself with his beret.
edit: Oh yeah, I actually finished this show last night! 110 eps in 18 days. A feat I'm sure I will never attempt to duplicate...maybe.
