Hey guys. Don't expect any of you guys to buy this but if you know anyone who's looking for a pinball machine I'm selling my Getaway. Great game, just the theme (ZZ Top Music + Lamborghinis) isn't for me as much as another machine I could slide in that space.
Game works fantastic with a brand new CPU board, and a new Dot Matrix Display installed this year.
Like I said, if you know anyone and can help spread the word I'd appreciate it. Price is $1800 firm.
I want this so badly, but it's just not the right time.
In pinball-related news, I was down in San Francisco a few weeks ago and ended up going out boozing. The second bar we went to was this amazing dive-y place called Zeitgeist that I've been to before. The place has great music, good cheap drinks, and an Addams Family pinball machine.. BEST BAR EVER!! Pinball should be a requirement for a liquor license.
She's built like a steakhouse, but she handles like a bistro
Pinball is a type of arcade game, in which points are scored by a player manipulating one or more steel balls on a play field inside a glass-covered cabinet called a pinball machine (or "pinball table"). The primary objective of the game is to score as many points as possible. Many modern pinball machines include a story line where the player must complete certain objectives in a certain fashion to complete the story, usually earning high scores for different methods of completing the game. Points are earned when the ball strikes different targets on the play field. A drain is situated at the bottom of the play field, partially protected by player-controlled plastic bats called flippers. A game ends after all the balls fall into the drain a certain number of times. Secondary objectives are to maximize the time spent playing (by earning "extra balls" and keeping the ball in play as long as possible) and to earn bonus games (known as "replays").
